SCE's Transmission Project Review Process (TPR Process)
Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Transmission Project Review (TPR) process is a semi-annual informational sharing and stakeholder engagement process through which SCE provides the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and interested stakeholders with detailed, system-wide information on its FERC-jurisdictional transmission capital projects. The TPR process was established by CPUC Resolution E 5252, adopted on April 27, 2023, to create a uniform, transparent framework for reviewing utility transmission investments and enabling stakeholder input on project scope, costs, and planning assumptions. SCE's TPR submission takes place twice per year, on June 1 and December 1, and each submittal includes data on projects expected to cost over $1 million with expenditures in the prior five years, the current year, and/or forecasted in the next four years.
